2023 AA Division Playoffs

Playoffs for our AA division begin on Saturday, May 20th! The playoff format is a single-elimination tournament that will culminate in the AA Playoff Championship on Tuesday, May 23rd. Playoff seeding is determined by the final standings in the AA division and the lower seeded team is home team for all playoff games.

About the AA Division

AA Division: Baseball Ages 9, 8, 7

9-year-olds who are not selected to AAA will play in the AA division (unless deemed a safety risk by our Player Agent). 8 and 7-year-olds who are deemed by coaches and independent evaluators to be skilled enough will also play in this division. The AA division uses a spring-loaded pitching machine to provide a more challenging environment from the Coach-Pitch environment of the Single A division, while also enabling a high frequency of balls being put in play to promote as much defensive and baserunning development as possible. Some Little League rules have been also  modified for this division (e.g., no stealing of bases, one-base on an overthrow, etc.).  Kid-pitching will also be introduced in this division over the course of the season.

Teams typically play a 10 - 12 game schedule, with one weekend game (typically on Sundays) per week. AA games are usually at Martens North. AA teams practice twice per week (one field practice and one batting practice). Practices can be on weekdays or on Saturdays. Standings are kept and the season culminates with a postseason playoff tournament.
