About the Single A Division

Single A Division: Baseball Ages 8, 7, 6

8 and 7-year-olds who are not selected to AA will play in the Single A division. 6-year-olds who have played a year of T-Ball can play in this division as well. We recommend 6 year-olds who have never played before to go through a year of T-Ball, but it is not a requirement.

Many Little League rules are modified in this division. This is the first division after T-Ball and the first opportunity to hit a ball that is pitched. The entire season is Coach-Pitch and other rules are also simplified (e.g., no base stealing, limits on number of batters per inning, etc.) as this division is aimed at player development as opposed to competitiveness. There are no standings or playoffs for this division.

Teams are formed using buddy requests and/or by school. Teams typically play a 10 - 12 game schedule, with one weekend game (typically on Sundays) per week. Single A games are generally at Martens South or Los Prados. Single A teams typically practice 1 - 2 times per week.
