Spring 2027 Registration is Open

Welcome to SMNLL

SMNLL has proudly served Bay Area families since 1955. We offer youth baseball for ages 4–14, from an introductory season in Wiffle Ball or T-Ball through competitive play in Majors and Juniors.

Before You Register

  • Returning families: Your account and child(ren)’s profile are already saved. Information from prior seasons will be pre-populated and you don’t need to upload proof of residency or school enrollment form.
  • New families: To get started, you will need to create a parent/guardian account and a profile for each child you are registering. For children ages 8+ you will need to upload 3 proofs of residency or a completed School Enrollment Form.

Register by Age

For Spring 2027, registration is based on your child’s baseball age (age as of 8/31/2027). Not sure which age group to register your child for? Check our baseball age chart.

Registering more than one child? Save $30 for each sibling you register — valid through the close of registration.

We Need Your Help

We are a 100% volunteer-run league — none of this happens without parents like you.

Coaching is one of the best ways to be part of your child’s season. You don’t need to be a baseball expert — many of our most rewarding seasons come from parents who stepped up for the first time. We need head coaches and assistant coaches across every division.

We also need team parents to help with field prep on game days, manage the dugout for our younger divisions, stream and score on GameChanger, and/or organize snacks and end-of-season celebrations.

There are many more roles that may fit your time and interests. You can learn more and sign up as part of registration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can register?
Players baseball age 4–7 can register regardless of where they live or go to school. For baseball age 8 and older, a player is eligible if they live within SMNLL’s boundaries, attend a school within them, or have played with SMNLL continuously since age 7. Waivers and exceptions are available. See League Eligibility & Boundaries for full details and forms. You can also check your home or school address with the Little League Finder.
I’ve registered by division in past years — why does it say “Baseball Age” now instead of a division name?
This year, registration is organized by your child(ren)’s baseball age (age by 8/31/2027) rather than by division. Baseball age (and player evaluations for ages 7–12) determines division eligibility. Once you select your child’s age group, you’ll be asked which division they’re interested in playing — final placement for AA, AAA, and Majors is determined by our January player evaluations, as always. See our baseball divisions page for age ranges by division.
What is the registration fee?
The registration fee varies by baseball age (age by 8/31/2027) — see the baseball age chart to determine your child’s baseball age. We offer a $30 discount for each sibling when a family registers 2 or more children. Registration fees go toward field permits and maintenance, player safety and equipment, financial assistance, umpires, and insurance. If the cost is a barrier for your family, please email registration@smnlittleleague.com — we offer financial assistance and believe every child in our community should have the opportunity to play youth baseball.
Why does SMNLL charge registration fees?
SMNLL is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and registration fees are how we run the season. They go toward field permits and maintenance, player safety and equipment, financial assistance, umpires, and insurance. If the cost is a barrier for your family, please email registration@smnlittleleague.com.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Please email registration@smnlittleleague.com and tell us a little about what changed. It helps us understand why and improve things for future seasons.
What other costs can I expect?
Families will need to purchase a team jersey (~$35). Other required equipment includes a bat, batting helmet, baseball glove, baseball pants, belt, socks, and cleats. Your coach will let you know the pants, belt, and sock colors for the upcoming season.
What bats are allowed?
T-Ball through Majors requires bats that meet the USABat standard — look for the USA Baseball logo on the bat. Juniors players may also use BBCOR-certified bats. Bat diameter cannot exceed 2⅝ inches. For the full list of approved bats, visit littleleague.org/BatInfo.
Is there a draft? How is my player assigned to a division?
We hold player evaluations in early January for all players interested in our AA, AAA, and Majors divisions. There are no cuts — all players are assigned to a division and team based on ability level. There are no evaluations for our Wiffle Ball, T-Ball, Single A, or Juniors divisions.
Do you have buddy requests?
Yes, but only for Wiffle Ball, T-Ball, and Single A. Parents may indicate through the registration form if they’d like their child to play on the same team as a friend. Buddy requests are not guaranteed.
When are practices and games?
Practices begin in early February, scheduled according to coach availability. Provisional game days (subject to change):
  • Wiffle Ball — Saturday mornings
  • T-Ball — Saturday / Sunday mornings
  • Single A — Sundays (mornings and afternoons)
  • AA — Sundays (mornings and afternoons)
  • AAA — Saturdays (mornings and afternoons); Tuesday and Thursday evenings
  • Majors — game days vary throughout the season
  • Juniors — schedule determined by District 52
What if my child has other activities that conflict with practices or games?
We understand that families juggle a lot, and conflicts with other activities are generally not an issue. Please let your coach know in advance, especially for games, and note any regular conflicts during registration.
